PV Monitoring and curtailment at scale
Our Cloud Curtailment platform enables you to turn the solar panels of your customers into flex assets, with real-time PV monitoring and curtailment at scale.
PV Owners authorize their installation online, and curtailment is performed fully cloud-to-cloud via specialized inverter manufacturer integrations, without local modifications to the installation. This makes large-scale curtailment immediately deployable and scalable.
Activation by PV owners in 2 minutes
Solar panel owners activate their inverter(s) via the online white-label activation flow:
- Authorize: The owner authorizes themselves using the method requested by the inverter manufacturer.
- Give consent: PV owner gives permission for monitoring and control of the installation.
- Live insight: The account becomes immediately active and data/curtailment is live via our APIs.
Monitoring and curtailment are executed via the official grid service integrations with inverter manufacturers, fully online, without changes to the installation. The process has no impact on operation or warranty.
Live Data via API
Our secure Smart Solar API provides insights into:
- Inverter AC power and yield
- Curtailed production estimate (kWh)
- Inverter details
- Locally measured grid voltage and frequency
Via the API, this data is available in real-time (0-10 minutes delay) and historically, and can be easily integrated into e.g. mobile app or forecasting / flex energy management systems.
The API also provides curtailment endpoints to execute curtailment with a 1-2 minute reaction time.
Employee Portal
The employee portal provides dashboarding and insights into the portfolio and individual accounts/inverter status.
This enables customer support representatives to answer questions, and allows for monitoring of your portfolio and curtailment revenues.

Live insight for customers
Through our Smart Solar API you can easily integrate live insights into your app or system:
- Curtailed production (kWh) — estimated per minute based on irradiance data and historical production profile per inverter
- Live curtailment status — Are my panels being curtailed now?
- Real-time and historical insight into gross yield, curtailment actions, curtailed energy and any compensations
We also track whether customers' inverters are online and, if desired, manage compensation handling for curtailed energy.
Security
Our SaaS platform is designed with security-by-design at its foundation.
For communication between our platform and the cloud environments of supported inverter manufacturers, we use specialized grid services connections with enhanced security features, contracted and under SLA.
You can use our platform and the white-label activation flow for PV owners without transferring or storing any customer personal data.
